Side Kick, SK

June 14 - 22, 2014

"Practicing the Side Kick is excellent conditioning for the buttock muscles, which powers your leg and kicking motions from behind and underneath."

All right, make this a double for me!!I enjoy preparing for the kick with ready position - just like in Front Kick (FK). And then looking to that side, kicking, hitting (imaginary) with the outer edge of my foot. To kick higher, I "turn out the foot and toes of the supporting leg".

Great! The magic sound bite for this move is 'Yes' and 'No'. Magic it is!

Everyday practice:Kicking doors open. Really handy when your hands are full or you want to keep them clean: I often use this move at not-so clean public bathrooms. Sometimes I add a static version: I kick the door open and keep it open while I wash my hands. Clean technique!!

Saubere Sache!!
